Before moving on to the autumn presentation, I recommend that you familiarize yourself with the new products that we are waiting for this spring. According to preliminary data, very soon we will see new iPad Air 5 and iPhone SE 3rd generation.
What will the iPhone 14 be like?
According to well-known analyst Mark Gurman, in 2022, Apple will replace the iPhone 13 mini model with a model with the Max prefix. No matter how much the Cupertino people want to occupy the niche of compact smartphones, users, apparently, do not need it.
iPhone 14 specswill most likely look something like this:
- Processor – A16 Bionic.
- RAM – 6 GB.
- Memory: 128/256/512/1024 GB.
- Cameras: main 48 MP, front – 12 MP
- Display: Full HD, 60Hz for iPhone 14/120Hz for Pro version
- Interfaces: 5G, Wi-Fi 6E.
We have already told you about all the details of the iPhone 14: design, specifications, Touch ID. Go, read, stay informed.
What will the new Apple Watch be like?
In my opinion, the Apple Watch has been in a big crisis lately. The last time the watch was globally updated was only with the release of the Apple Watch Series 4, which, for a second, will be 4 years old in 2022. Recently my colleague AppleInsider.ru author Ivan Kuznetsov already talked about the new watch. Say, it’s not worth waiting for something global in terms of functionality, everything will remain the same. Unfortunately, this is likely to be the case.
In 2022 we are waiting right away three versions of smart watches from Apple: Apple Watch 8, Apple Watch SE 2 and the new Apple Watch Sport Edition. If rumors are to be believed, then Apple is going to slightly expand its line of wearable devices. New sports Apple Watch should have exactly the same functionality and differ from their brothers only in increased impact resistance.
As for new features, it’s too early to say something. It is quite possible that they will not exist at all. They will add a couple of sports modes, make the screen a little larger, charge faster and that’s it. Sad, comrades, sad.
New MacBook Air 2022
Rumors about the new MacBook Air 2022 have been around for a long time. Many of the users harbored a grudge against Apple. Say, how is it? They rolled out new M1 chips, made such a leap in power and autonomy, and the case was left the same. On the other hand, have you seen the renderings of the new Air? White keyboard, multi-colored case – in my opinion this is already too much.
So, specifications of the new 2022 MacBook Air:
- Apple M2 processor.
- Keyboard Magic Keyboard in white.
- New design and body colors.
- New mini-LED display.
And, of course, friends, get ready for price increases. If the new MacBooks really get a mini-LED display, then the cost will definitely increase. If we draw an analogy with the iPad line, then for the new screen you will have to pay 100 bucks on top. Whether it’s a lot or a little, only you can judge.
New iMac 27″ 2022
Also looking forward to the fall new 27″ iMac, which should finally upgrade to a processor with Apple Silicon. We have already written about it before. We discussed all the characteristics, talked about ports and so on. The only thing they missed was the release date. Apparently, it’s not worth waiting for the iMac 27″ in the spring.
Characteristics new iMac 27″ 2022:
- New mini-LED display with 120Hz support.
- M1 Pro and M1 Max chips depending on configuration.
- Ports: USB-C/Thunderbolt, SD card slot, HDMI, Ethernet built in power adapter.
- Memory: from 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of ROM.
- Price: about $2,000.
Judging by how many of our readers are dissatisfied with the iMac 24″, I think that you will really like the 27-inch machine.
When will the AirPods Pro 2 be released?
In the fall of 2022, we are also waiting for the newly minted AirPods Pro 2nd generation. The main innovations should be support for the Apple Lossless Audio (ALAC) format and a charging case that can provide greater ease of searching when lost.
The example of the AirPods Pro line especially shows how Apple strives to make its headphones sound quality and comfortable in terms of use. However, so far only the second one has been obtained. Well-known insider Ming-Chi Kuo noted in a recent statement that ALAC support will still appear here.
Other innovations include new MacBook Pro 13, but little is known about it. Most likely, the laptop will receive a new M2 chip (like the MacBook Air) and some design changes, but these are just my personal assumptions.
